Yoga, Entrepreneurship, and Happiness

Saved to Ifer by Jennifer Fawcett Saturday January 14, 2006

As I reflect on the past year, it has become clear that I experience the most happiness and joy when I am working for myself. Not that I don’t like teams, people, or bosses (well, the bosses may honestly be part of it), it’s just that I know why I like to work, when I like to work, and how I like to work.

So, with this new year, I have decided to go back to being an entrepreneur. What does this mean? Well, teaching Yoga is half of the mix. I have accepted a position teaching mentally disabled adults yoga at a local rehabilitation center. This should prove to challenge and extend my teacher skills, as well as my love and patience of the practice. I am extremely excited. I have also just recently registered for a week long advanced teacher training with Shiva Rae in LA at the end of January. Adding her viniyoga and “trance dance” techniques to my practice will be a wonderful part of the overall journey.

The other half is to rekindle my web development business: www.routesix.com. My partner Blake and I have developed a new focus and strategy, that should help make our customers websites wildly successful.

New year, new goals, new presence.

~Namaste
