YAS Yoga & Spinning Spin-A-Thon for Disaster Relief on Oct. 1

Fundraiser for American Red Cross and ASPCA Disaster Relief Fund and Pet Adoption.

Los Angeles, CA. (PRWEB) September 29, 2005 — Kimberly Fowler the owner of YAS and NIKE’s New face of Yoga is proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the American Red Cross and the ASPCA Disaster Relief Fund. The Studio will be holding a 3 hour Spin-A-Thon on Saturday, October 1, 2005 from 1pm until 4pm to raise funds for the survivors and pets of Hurricane Katrina.

Being a pet owner herself as well as a dog lover Kimberly couldn’t sit back any longer and watch. She had to take action. Not only will you be able to spin for the survivors you can also adopt an orphaned pet as well.

Minimum donation is $500 per bike and 100% of the proceeds will be going to the relief efforts. Reserve your bike today and for those of you that can’t make it donations are being accepted.

But wait…there is more… what’s a Spin-A-Thon without prizes? Jet Blue is donating 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the US to the person who raises the most money. Heist is donating $100 gift certificate. YAS is donating a 10class Yoga For Athletes package. Rover is donating a 3day doggy spa weekend for the little cutie that you will hopefully be adopting!

The fundraiser will be taking place at YAS’s Venice location 1101 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA. 90291 on the historic corner of Abbot Kinney and Westminster.

King Dancer - Natarajasana Is the Yoga Pose of the Week


I learned a cool transition last week: king dancer to sugarcane pose. Basically, you just tip forward in king dancer until your hand reaches the floor, et voila, you're in sugarcane. For extra credit, try coming back up.
